readtheory.org is an app that I had run into while looking for some comprehension websites for my upcoming diagnostic tests. My reading comprehension has been quite poor over the last years, and after using this website for just about a day or two, my comprehension skills drastically improved! The thing that separates this website from the other comprehension websites is that it gives an explanation for each answer: how it is correct and how it is not correct. Another aspect of this website is that the format. The format is very clean and makes a good approach to readers who are not interested in improving their comprehension. Last but not least, the website also tracks your progress, when you improve or move downgrade levels, and gives you a goal for your age and grade. Out of all these three aspects, I would say the thing that aided me the most was the explanation of the answers. For example, readtheory.org taught me to not make inferences when not included in texts. There may ...

Life as a Prince in Ancient China: (Written by unidentified)
This doc is not written by me, but by a fellow friend. Enjoy! Hey very well, you are a prince of some who knows wtf this dynasty is. Wait, all we know you are a prince of China. No, China was not China when it had many dynasties. Many of which you don't even know, even if you do, you can’t remember them all. So, being a prince of one dynasty is great right? No, no, no, no, you are wrong if you think that way. Being a prince is pretty cruel because you probably will be dead before you are even born. Introduction to Status Oh, guess what, you're not the only prince here, but one of hundreds or thousands of princes and princesses. The least amounts of sons and daughters that the emperor has are 2 digits like 14 or whatever like 98. So that many daughters and sons need a lot of wives. Most of them are known as concubines or in Chinese 妾(qiè) or 妃(fēi) if imperial, which I am talking about, so use 妃(fēi). All the concubines live in the back of the palace called 後宮(hòugōng). ...
Book Project: The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly P.2/ Sequel or Aftermath
An Aftermath of the book, “The Book of Lost things” by John Connolly by Shannon Yan Before you read… Learn more about , “The Book of Lost Things” here: The Book of Lost Things Summary. Chapter 1 If there were any words to describe David, it would be something relative to acrimony. He was strong-minded and unwilling, resenting responsibilities when not urged. “Hmm..it is nearly 10. I shall head back home,” said David, peering at his watch. He strolled through the rough brick walls of the corridor with his long, dark suit. His coffee black loafers clacked after every step, playing an off-beat melody. Full-growns and children fixed the man with questionable looks. Shifting uncomfortably, David moved his pedora to overshadow his visage. See, David was quite popular back then. When he was a child, he developed some abnormal sights and sounds he had never seen. The books started talking to him, and a strange man would come to his house every now ...
Unfinished Stories
I have not been updating this blog lately 😅 I have been busy with a lot of workouts and writing! Here are some unfinished stories of mine: The Orphanage of West Way We sit at the long, oak table gazing at the shiny polish. Our repasts are destined to be bread and mash, although the --- could possibly spare some soup on the side as well… Girls surround me in every direction, their faces planted with ghastly stares. Cold lips and glistening eyes are composed in their lifeless faces. Glancing at the oak table, I reverie my parents. “Where did they go?” I wonder. What did I do?” Why did-.” My thoughts seize their release as our repasts arrive. I reveal the dish. pulling off the cover to reveal, yet again, the familiar mash and bread. The bread’s texture fails to be consumed, it's hard, crusty and sour taste resulting. The math could have mistakenly identified as liquid, its runniness probably caused by an accidental dosage of water. The ...
Brainzilla.com: A real head smasher
https://www.brainzilla.com/ (Brainzilla.com) is a great website to test your logic and is a great head smasher. Some games include logic, word, and puzzles. Personally, my favorite game to play on this fun website are the zebra puzzles. Zebra puzzles are logic puzzles that include starting information. For example, "Red is in the first position." There is more information that you must use logic to solve and input. But along the way, your information and problems might cross and cause an exploding headache! If you are lucky, you will only have to move back a few steps. If not, well, back to the drawing board! This website and fun, (but also quite irking). It is also a great game to try with your friends. You can compete for the quickest time, work together, or solve it on your own! Have fun enjoying the website! If you want to put your logic to the real test, then Einstein's riddle is perfect for you. Only 2% of the world's population has been able to solve this zebra ...

Bethany’s Beauty by Shannon Y. (Book/Fan Fic)
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Bethany who always dreamed of being a professional beauty professor. She had been working at the beauty salon for 10 years, hoping to get a life-changing opportunity, but that day never came. Everyday she would check off her calendar, with the same pink highlighter. One day, Bethany came to work (a little late as always), and saw her boss and workers waiting for her. She hurried down the stairs and heaved her tattered pink, faux leather bag on the table. “Ms. Carter, I have a very important announcement to make. We sat here waiting for you for the past 10 minutes!” exclaimed Roberta, her boss, frustrated. “Sorry, Ms. Miller. I had to pick up something at the-,” Bethany blurted. “Oh never mind that, come and hurry over here so I can announce the big news.” Ms. Miller interrupted, impatient. Bethany quickly shuffled over to the circle, waiting for the big announcement. “Hello, everyone. Now that Bethany has arrived, I ...
